Abstract

The use of compressed natural gas as a motor fuel is the most affordable and modern solution to the energy and environmental problems of road transport. The conversion and operation of city buses running on compressed natural gas contributes to a significant reduction in their harmful effects on the urban environment. It is known that the traction-speed, fuel-economic and environmental properties of vehicles largely depend on the performance properties of the type of motor fuel used. In this regard, the study of the comparative traction-speed, fuel-economic and environmental properties of vehicles can justify the choice of one or another type (brand) of a city bus running on compressed natural gas. This article presents the results of scientific research on obtaining traction-speed, fuel-economic and environmental properties of buses running on compressed natural gas
