Abstract

The article discusses methods for determining the distance using electromagnetic waves C‑band (4–8 GHz) in mines. An analysis of the distribution of the electric field strength of a dipole antenna mounted on a truck body in mine workings with variable rock properties is presented. The characteristics of the negative factors affecting the accuracy of distance determination by the Time- Flight (ToF) method are given. An experimental estimate of the distance between two UWB modules has also been made
