Abstract

The formation of modern competencies of future specialists within the framework of one discipline is difficult. In this regard, it is of interest to substantiate the organizational and methodological conditions for the use of interdisciplinary educational and scientific projects in the educational process. For the formation of computational thinking and functional literacy of students, it is advisable to involve them in the implementation of interdisciplinary projects in a cluster of disciplines. The effectiveness and quality of the training activities of the trainees, in the process of their work on the project, depends on its target settings and the learning environment. The paper substantiates the criteria for the preparation of educational and scientific projects, describes electronic courses to support them. Examples of students’ projects in the cluster of disciplines “Programming – Numerical methods – Information technologies in education” are considered. The main requirement for the effective implementation of the project is the development of a training tool in the form of a software application (Programming) for one of the sections of computational mathematics (Numerical methods) using information technology, including elements of artificial intelligence and big data (IT in education). The materials of the article are useful for teachers, as well as for the organizers of the educational process of universities
