Abstract

The article examines the legal problems associated with corruption risks due to access to confidential official information. It is pointed out that the current legislation of the Russian Federation governing official activity has discrepancies with the information legislation regarding the formulation of the concept of confidential official information. The materials of iudicial practice in corruption-related criminal cases related to the unlawful disclosure of confidential official information are analyzed, and a conclusion is drawn about the ambiguous approach of the courts to the legal assessment of these criminal acts. The role of information technologies in countering corruption risks in connection with the misuse of confidential official information is investigated. It is proposed to use the Poseidon anti-corruption system as one of the technical means of countering the misuse of confidential official information
