Abstract

This paper examines the little-covered history of quantum chaos research in the literature at two centers of nonlinear dynamics in Russia: the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics in Novosibirsk and the Kirensky Institute of Physics in Krasnoyarsk. The chosen timeframe — the early 1970s to the early 2000s — saw the appearance of the first works on quantum chaos, the development of concepts, and the formation of a conceptual framework. B. V. Chirikov and G. M. Zaslavsky played a key role in this regard. The work of these research centers largely determines the modern landscape of this field of knowledge
