Abstract

This study explores the value orientations of Slovak university students through qualitative analysis of 40 reflective essays. Using thematic coding and supported by Schwartz’s theory of basic human values, the research identifies key moral, social, and spiritual priorities expressed by students. The findings highlight the role of narrative reflection, faith, and literature in shaping student values and offer implications for value- based education in higher education settings
